Breast Augmentation - Case 30
Case Description
This 44 year old mother of two lost breast volume and developed moderate ptosis (breast sag or droop) after her pregnancies, and came to Minneapolis Plastic Surgery for breast augmentation. Her outpatient surgery in our accredited office surgical facility took just under one hour, and her recovery was completed in one hour as well. Her TIVA general anesthesia allowed rapid, non-nauseated wake-up, and our use of pre-operative anti-inflammatory and muscle relaxant medications, IV steroid to reduce swelling and minimize any nausea, and long-acting local anesthetic in the implant pockets all combined to allow her to be alert, dressed, and sipping a soda before she left the recovery room. She returned to daily activity the following morning, and was exercising by 3 weeks post-op. After photos are at 3 ½ months, showing she did not require breast lift for an excellent cosmetic outcome.
