At Your Initial Consultation

Whether you live in the Minneapolis / St. Paul metropolitan area, elsewhere in Minnesota or adjacent states, or in more distant areas throughout the country, obtaining information about plastic surgery, individual cosmetic concerns, your prospective plastic surgeon, his staff, and details about his training, American Board of Plastic Surgery-certification, experience, and practice is essential before choosing your plastic surgeon.

Beware of “cosmetic surgeons” who claim board-certification by the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery (NOT an ABMS member board) or boards that have little or nothing to do with plastic surgery. (For more information click on Why Board Certification is Critical Before Choosing a Plastic Surgeon.)

Complimentary consultation with one of our surgeons (both Dr. Gervais and Dr. Tholen are certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery) is always available for our patients who are interested in plastic surgery but have questions they would like answered, or for second opinions before patients make their final decisions. Pre-scheduling or reserving a spot on our surgical schedule is possible for those who do not live close by, and comprehensive consultation prior to surgery allows both patient and surgeon to agree on a precise surgical plan. At a consultation, the prospective patient will meet with one of our ABPS board-certified, experienced plastic surgeons and learn more about what is involved in the procedure he or she is considering. Consultations at Minneapolis Plastic Surgery, LTD. are complimentary and you do not need to make a commitment–the ultimate decision is always yours to make. You will never be pressured to schedule something as serious and important as elective surgery, but we are happy to provide enough information to help you make good choices.

Call (763) 545-0443 today to schedule your free consultation!

Because of the high demand for free consultations with our plastic surgeons, our staff will ask for a credit card number in order to schedule a consultation; there is no charge whatsoever for appointments that are kept–you will be charged $100 only if you fail to keep a scheduled appointment, or fail to cancel at least 48 hours in advance of your appointment time–for Monday appointments, you must cancel no later than noon on the previous Thursday; for Tuesday appointments, you must cancel no later than noon on the previous Friday.

At your initial consultation, you will discuss what you would like to change about your appearance with one of our plastic surgeons, who will then create a prospective treatment plan and identify the unique factors that may affect your surgery. With years of experience in enhancing patients aesthetically, our surgeons are often able to provide specific recommendations, options and alternatives, answer all of your questions, and give expert guidance to ensure the most beautiful possible results. You will also receive a detailed cost analysis, and information about payment or financing options. A refundable deposit is required to reserve a tentative position on our surgical schedule; cancellation fees are assessed for cancellations within two weeks prior to surgery. Assistance with lodging and post-operative assistance or nursing care is available for out-of-town patients. Please feel free to contact us for more information at any time.
