Chin and Cheek Implants - Case 1
Case Description
This 32 year-old patient was very happy with previous cosmetic surgery at Minneapolis Plastic Surgery, and returned for facial plastic surgery of the chin and neck areas. She had placement of a mandibular glove extended anatomic chin implant (medium) via a short incision just behind the crease under her chin, and through the same incision, direct excision of the fatty tissue in this area. (This is significantly more thorough, smooth, and less bloody than submental liposuction.) The neck muscles were also tightened to improve the contour and profile of the jawline. This outpatient operation took approximately 90 minutes and was performed under a light general (TIVA) anesthetic that allows rapid, comfortable recovery with very low risk of nausea or vomiting.
