Breast Augmentation - Case 41
Case Description
This 26 year-old mother of one came to Minneapolis Plastic Surgery for restoration of breast fullness after breast-feeding. She underwent breast augmentation before November 2006, after which the FDA again released silicone gel implants for elective cosmetic breast enlargement, and therefore had saline implants placed via an inframammary incision below her pectoralis muscles. Her outpatient operation was done under a light TIVA general anesthetic, allowing rapid recovery without nausea or vomiting. Our certified anesthesia providers have extensive experience with this specialized anesthetic technique, allowing even longer operations (such as lower body lifts) to be done in our on-site office surgical facility (nationally-accredited by AAAASF) without a prolonged recovery room stay or inpatient admission.
