Breast Augmentation - Case 47
Case Description
This 30 year old Asian-American mother of 3 (who did not breast feed) came to Minneapolis Plastic Surgery for breast augmentation. Although she preferred silicone gel implants, her surgery date preceded the November, 2006 FDA release of silicone implants for elective breast augmentation, so she had saline implants placed in a 45 minute outpatient operation under a light TIVA general anesthetic in our AAAASF-accredited office surgical facility. She left our recovery room in just over an hour, comfortable, not nauseated, and returned the next morning for recheck where she reported minimal discomfort. Her after photos shown are at 5 months post-op, but she remained happy long-term, grading her result a 10/10 at 4 years and again at 8 years post-op.
