Breast Augmentation - Case 71
Case Description
This 31 year old woman breast fed two children and lost fullness as a result. She came to Minneapolis Plastic Surgery seeking restoration of her breast volume with an operation that would return her to daily activities “immediately,” and more strenuous activities like exercise at a health club as soon as possible. She wisely understood that “overnight” breast augmentation or “24-hour recovery” breast enlargement did not involve anything more than careful surgery and meticulous technique designed to reduce bruising and bleeding (leading to less pain), and that complete healing for all patients takes several weeks to months. Her TIVA anesthetic at MPS allowed her to wake up without nausea or vomiting, and she returned to daily activities the morning after surgery. Exercise resumed in several weeks. Her after photos show her appearance at 10 weeks post-op.
