Breast Augmentation - Case 87
Case Description
This 27 year old woman has not had children, and was gratified to hear that breast implants do not interfere with breast feeding or nipple sensation in the majority of women who later have children. She had always wanted breast implants, but also planned on a family someday. She came to Minneapolis Plastic Surgery for outpatient breast enlargement in our discreet, confidential, comfortable office surgical facility, which is AAAASF accredited, and offers full anesthesia services by our superb CRNA (Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist) staff. Our surgeons, anesthesia providers, and recovery room RNs are all ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certified as well, and we utilize TIVA anesthesia, which provides complete general anesthesia (asleep) care without the nausea and vomiting frequently seen with hospital or other surgicenter inhalation (gas) anesthesia protocols. This woman received the latest Allergan Inspira cohesive silicone gel implants in a one-hour operation. She left our recovery room in one hour, returned to everyday activities the next day (? “overnight recovery”), and exercise in 2-3 weeks.
