Breast Augmentation - Case 53
Case Description
This 31 year old Asian-American mother of two came to Minneapolis Plastic Surgery to restore breast volume lost with breast feeding. She underwent submuscular cohesive silicone gel implant breast augmentation in an outpatient TIVA general anesthetic operation in our on-site office surgical facility. This operation took just over an hour, and her recovery room experience was significant for no nausea or vomiting and no anesthesia “hangover” or gassy smell because of our use of TIVA (intravenous anesthetic) rather than inhalation (gas and nitrous) anesthetics commonly used in the hospital. This patient returned to normal (non-strenuous) activities the following day, and was able to resume exercise in 3-4 weeks. Her post-op photos show results at 1 year.
