Breast Implant Revision - Case 2
Case Description
This 44 year old mother of two had undergone periareolar incision submuscular breast augmentation in California 10 years prior to her consultation at Minneapolis Plastic Surgery. She was bothered by too-soft saline rippling and bottoming out of her implants (right worse than left). She underwent saline implant (570cc) removal, suture capsular repair and creation of a new higher crease position bilaterally, and placement of new 600cc cohesive silicone gel implants via inframammary (crease) incisions. She had a 1 ½ hour TIVA general anesthetic procedure in Minneapolis Plastic Surgery’s nationally-accredited (AAAASF) on-site surgical facility, and was discharged (alert, dressed, having visited the restroom, and having sipped a soda) to her adult caregiver after 1 hour in the recovery room. Her 1 month post-op photos show her improved implant position on both sides. Her rippling was also eliminated by switching from saline to cohesive silicone gel implants.
