Laser Resurfacing - Case 1

This 48 year-old woman came to Minneapolis Plastic Surgery hoping that lip enlargement would remove the lines around her mouth. Examination revealed many other facial lines, wrinkles, and sun damage, as well as naturally thin upper and lower lips. After adequate skin care program preparation, she underwent dermal fat grafting (from a suprapubic scar donor site) for permanent upper and lower lip enlargement, and full-face ablative laser resurfacing with our dual-wavelength Erbium:YAG/CO2 third-generation laser (Derma-K laser). Her skin was healed in 8 days, with minimal pinkness, and no scarring or skin color change (note normal skin pores and hairs in her 1-month post-op photo).
