Transgender (F-M) Mastectomy ("Top Surgery") - Case 20
Case Description
This 27 year old F-M transgender patient was referred to Minneapolis Plastic Surgery by another transman who had undergone top surgery here. This man had lived full-time as a male for 10 years, and had been on testosterone therapy for 4 months. He underwent skin-reducing mastectomies and nipple/areola reductions with reconstruction as full-thickness skin grafts in masculine fashion, having outpatient surgery in our office surgical facility. Unlike university medical centers, we offer discreet, confidential, outpatient surgery with anesthesia that does not leave you groggy or nauseated, and without being near sick patients or in environments with nasty bacteria or the COVID-19 virus. We offer 3 decades of experience with non-genital transgender surgeries such as this case. After photos at one year post-op show scarring that has mostly faded; by two years post-op, the final set of photographs show even less-visible scars.
