Agile Technology

Using several of the best and proven laser techniques and equipment (six on-site lasers and one IPL — intense pulsed light — machine), the plastic surgeons at Minneapolis Plastic Surgery, LTD. are able to reduce or remove wrinkles, birthmarks, age spots, freckles, superficial blood vessels, and sun damage, in addition to the other types of cosmetic surgery they routinely perform. Laser hair removal and other skin and body care services are available at our skin and body care clinic, Minneapolis Anti-Aging and Skin Care Clinic (MAASC), and new laser techniques are being evaluated and perfected on an ongoing basis at our surgical facility.

Experienced Care

At Minneapolis Plastic Surgery, LTD., laser technology has been utilized for over 29 years whenever it has allowed treatments or techniques that truly represent a quantum leap forward in capability, results, or reduction of complications over older methods.  Dr. Douglas L. Gervais served on the Board of Directors of the Boys and Girls Club of the Twin Cities, and served as the Medical Director for 14 years for the “Get Out Program” for that organization. This program uses laser tattoo removal to assist teens in leaving gang life behind in order to complete education and obtain employment. Dr. Richard H. Tholen has been a local, national, and international speaker, laser course instructor, and physician educator in advanced laser techniques at multiple wavelengths and power densities, and has made over 100 presentations regarding uses of lasers in cutaneous surgery. Minneapolis Plastic Surgery, LTD. remains one of few practices nationally to offer third-generation laser skin resurfacing with dual Erbium/YAG-CO2 wavelengths.
