Breast Augmentation - Case 59
Case Description
This 30 year old woman has always felt her breasts were too small and lacked fullness superiorly. She came to Minneapolis Plastic Surgery upon referral from her physician parents, and underwent submuscular cohesive silicone gel implant placement in an outpatient TIVA general anesthetic operation. Surgery took just under an hour, and after another hour in the recovery room she was discharged to the care of her mother who reported the next morning that her daughter did extremely well with no nausea or vomiting and pain well-controlled by her medications. She resumed work in two weeks and strenuous activities and exercise in 4. Post-op photos show her appearance at just 3 weeks; additional softening and scar fading will occur over 6-12 months.
