Breast Augmentation - Case 80
Case Description
This 32 year old woman had moderate breast deflation and droop (grade 2 to borderline grade 3) after breast feeding her 2 children. She came to Minneapolis Plastic Surgery adamant about not wanting the incisions, scars, and cost of a breast lift. With implants only and subglandular placement, we were able to avoid breast lift surgery, while preserving the ability to add this if needed in the future. She also requested cosmetic rhinoplasty at the same operation. Her outpatient surgery took just over 3 hours for both nose and breast procedures, and her TIVA general anesthetic allowed rapid wake-up with no nausea. The use of pre-op anti-inflammatory and muscle relaxant medications, intra-op long-acting Exparel, and meticulous surgical technique ensured minimal discomfort and rapid recovery. Other surgeons might trademark this as “24 hour breast augmentation” or “Overnight Recovery” surgery–as if they possess some special technique or proprietary method for “Flash Recovery.” We call it careful surgery.
