Breast Augmentation - Case 11

This 29 year-old mother of 2 (breast-fed 1) wished to restore breast volume, and was told by another plastic surgeon elsewhere that she “absolutely needed” a full breast lift and would have to be off work for 6 weeks. She came to Minneapolis Plastic Surgery for a second opinion, and was informed that for grade II ptosis (moderate droop) a breast lift was not required, and that a good result could likely be achieved with implants alone, avoiding the additional cost and scarring of a breast lift. She had submuscular augmentation with saline implants (prior to November 2006 when the FDA again released silicone implants for cosmetic augmentation) in our nationally-accredited (AAAASF) office surgical facility, and returned to normal daily activity in 24 hours, and work in 10 days. After photos are 3 months post-op.
