Breast Reduction - Case 5
Case Description
This 33 year-old woman was bothered by chronic back problems from her 38F breasts, even undergoing two spinal fusions that did not relieve her back problems, nor her other symptoms of neck pain, shoulder grooves from bra straps, and chronic rashes beneath her extremely heavy pendulous breasts. She came to Minneapolis Plastic Surgery for bilateral breast reduction surgery and had removal of over 2 ½ pounds of tissue per breast. Nipple sensation was preserved bilaterally (as it is in about 85% of women undergoing this operation). After photos at 6 weeks post-op show immature scars with some inflammation that will fade and mature over 6-12 months.
