Breast Reduction - Case 4
Case Description
This 37 year-old woman was bothered by large breasts and grade 3 (severe) ptosis (breast droop or sag) that caused back and neck aches, shoulder grooves from her bra straps, and intermittent rashes beneath her breasts. She came to Minneapolis Plastic Surgery for breast reduction surgery and had about 1 pound of tissue per breast removed in an outpatient general anesthesia operation that took about 3 hours. No drains or removable sutures were used (all dissolving stitches—no cross-hatch marks). After photos at 3 months post-op show pink scars that will continue to soften, mature, and fade over the next 6-12 months.
