Facelift (Rhytidectomy) - Case 9
Case Description
Many patients whose lower face and neck areas bother them are reluctant to consider facelift, but often only need the neck treated for significant improvement. This 53 year-old woman did not like the loose, sagging skin in her neck, and always felt she had a “weak” chin that worsened the problem. She did not have excess fat in the neck area, so a combined necklift and chin implant placement tightened up the neck skin, gave her a more pleasing profile, and took years off her appearance. Her outpatient procedure was performed at Minneapolis Plastic Surgery’s accredited in-office surgical facility under a light general (TIVA) anesthetic. Her only incision was below the chin and healed nearly invisibly.
