Transgender (F-M) Mastectomy ("Top Surgery") - Case 2

Case Description
This 50 year-old female to male transgender patient came to Minneapolis Plastic Surgery for skin-reducing mastectomies (“top surgery”). The patient has lived as a male for years, has been on testosterone for 1 year, and has large, heavy, pendulous breasts that are difficult and painful to bind and wear normal clothing. Chest masculinization was accomplished via bilateral total mastectomies, nipple/areola reductions and reconstruction as full thickness skin grafts as an outpatient general anesthetic operation. After photos are at only 6 weeks post-op; scars will fade considerably over 6-12 months.
