Transgender (F-M) Mastectomy ("Top Surgery") - Case 18

This 25 year old F-M transman has been living full time as a male for 9 years, on testosterone for 7 years, and binding his breasts since puberty. He came to Minneapolis Plastic Surgery on referral from friends who had undergone top surgery in our nationally-accredited office surgical facility, and because of our over 3 decades of experience with transgender patients from all over the country. He underwent outpatient transgender total mastectomies and chest masculinization under a light general TIVA anesthetic. He returned to strenuous activity 4 weeks after surgery, allowing his nipple/areola grafts to take and heal durably. His after photos show his appearance at 7 months post op.
